About Me

I am a qualified teacher of dance and hold Flamenco dance classes on Tuesday evenings in Norwich (see 'Dance Classes').  Why not come along and have fun learning the Flamenco rhythms and dances of the Spanish Andelucian gypsies, accompanied by live Flamenco guitar and cajon (percussion) played by Nigel Powles, David Crouch and Phil Whitehead.

Although I have studied, danced and taught Flamenco for many years, I have

also trained and performed in many other dance forms, including Strict Tempo Ballroom and Latin American, Jazz and Tap. I also hold the RSFGB Teaching Diploma (with Distinction in both Practical and Theory) that allows me to teach Artistic Skating to Silver Standard, including Figure Skating, Free Skating and Dance.

In the past I have danced Flamenco in the production of ‘Carmen’ at the Theatre Royal, Norwich and in the ‘Flamenco Happens’ productions at the Norwich Playhouse Theatre. I have also worked with the amazing Flamenco guitarist and dear friend, Steve Homes, before his move to London. I now appear regularly with'Zimali'' and my own Troupe 'Mezcla'.

Apart from my Classes, Workshops and Performances, I can of course be seen dancing at the monthly Norwich Peña Flamenca (see 'Norwich Peña')

I am an experienced dressmaker and used to design and make all my clothes but now limit myself to designing and making Flamenco costumes!
